Aiding Architecture

In this project I took a closer look at the intersection of public space and homelessness. Due to more privatisation of public space and increased usage of hostile architecture marginalised groups such as homeless people suffer. How could public spaces be designed in a more ‘homeless friendly’ way, offering some sort of living or private space for those who don’t have any? Since homeless people are often living with their belongings in a shopping cart I took this object and tried to come up with ideas on how to extend its structure or integrate it into the architecture in public spaces.
